Are you a Money Trasher?

CVS is giving you $2 in Extra Care Bucks if you pledge to not be a "money trasher".  Go to the CVS facebook page to make your pledge.  You'll need your CVS ExtraCare card number.

I keep my ECB's in a separate CVS coupon envelope so that I can keep track of them.  In order to score good deals, you have to roll them into your next purchase.  Hang on to them, they are just like money.

My Drugstore Trip 9/27

I've been somewhat discouraged by the lack of grocery store deals lately, but today's drug store run made up for it a bit.  I picked up some snacks for the season premier of Extreme Couponing.  Just kidding!  As with most things in my life, I prefer to coupon in moderation.

Here's the rundown on my trips today:
Walgreen's:  (2 Transactions)  Spent:  $17.57, received back $13.20 in Register Rewards
Total:  $4.37

CVS:  (1 Transaction)  Spent:  $8.74, received back $8.00 in Extra Care Bucks
Total:  $.74

What did I get?
2 bags Indiana popcorn
3 bags Nabisco snacks
1 large pkg toilet paper ($.17/roll)
2 Soft Soap body wash
6 pkg Mentos gum
2 Cookie Dough Balance Bars
1 pkg Maxi pads
4 razors

(Retail Price of Items:  $76.21 before sales and coupons)

Grand Total:  $5.11 (after Register Rewards and Extra Care Bucks deals)

High Value Schick Printable

You may want to go ahead and print this one before it runs out of prints.  This will make for a free razor next week at CVS after coupon and Extra Care Bucks.  Click here to print.

There are some other high value coupons, particularly in the "Personal Care" section that you'll want to check out.

(Thanks, WeUseCoupons)

I love long receipts!

Here is a round-up of my trips today:

Kroger:  spent $64.75, saved $44.00
CVS:  spent $9.76, saved $7.46, received back $4.99 in Extra Care Bucks to be used on a future purchase
(CVS did not have the diapers in stock that I previously listed so I did not score that deal).

My CVS Shopping List 9/18-9/24

CVS is great for stocking up on household and beauty items.  I have been able to find free or close to free items such as, shampoo, razors, toothpaste, etc.  CVS usually has a couple of totally free items(after Extra Care Bucks) each week.  After shopping CVS for just a few weeks, you can build up your supply of Extra Care Bucks (ECBs). You can also usually score some money making deals at CVS using coupons.  After collecting ECBs for a couple of weeks, you can mostly eliminate your out of pocket expense by purchasing items using ECBs.  Thus, you are buying items for "free".

You will have out of pocket expenses when you start out, but can then roll your ECBs each week.  I didn't believe it at first but, it really does save you money in the long run.

Here's my list for this week:
Gold Emblem Candy Corn, Autumn Mix or Pumpkins 8oz $0.99
ECB: $.99 wyb 1 (Sun-Tues ONLY limit 1)
Pay $.99, get back $.99 ECB
Total: FREE

Buy $10 worth of Nestle products and get $3 ECB (limit 1) Buy (4) Nestle Fun Size Candy Bags  $2.50 ea
Use (2) $1/2 printable
Pay $8 and get $3 ECB
Total: $1.25 each

Spend $25 on Participating Baby Products, get $10 Ecb (limit 1)
Additional participating items listed on page 12 of ad
Deal Scenario:
Buy 2 Huggies Slip On jumbo pack Diapers 2/$18
Buy 3 Johnson & Johnson Baby products $3
Total = $27
Use 2 $3/1 Huggies Slip On 9/11 SmartSource (there are also $1.50/1 coupons found in the 9/11 SmartSource)
Plus, use 3 $1/1 coupons found here, here, here, here, or here

Need a Back to School Teacher Gift? Thank you, CVS.

Have you shopped CVS this week?  Make sure you scan your CVS card at the Magic Coupon Machine(pictured above).

Did you know you can scan your card more than once?  Try it!
If you shop in the Radford store, the machine in the back of the store is quicker at printing out coupons.

The machine is currently printing CVS coupons for a FREE Caramello candy bar and FREE CVS bandages.

Also, now through 8/17,  head on over to the CVS MinuteClinic Facebook page, “like” them, then click on the “Special Offers” tab to find a coupon valid for a FREE full-size Moisturizing Body Wash at CVS (Choose from Vanilla, Cherry, Escape, Romance, Fresh, or Tranquil scents).  The coupon will be sent via email and is valid through 8/20.

How fun would it be to put together a First Day of school teacher gift with these 3 items?!
